I LOVE Misty and she’s an incredibly inspirational, hardworking, groundbreaking, dancer. However, nothing new was learned in this book as for exercise and diet. There’s some nice recipes in the second half though.

Nice but didn’t realize it was a book on exercises and mean plans (my bad for not reading the summary). It was nice and had lots of ideas but not what I was in the mood for.

I love love loved this book. The only thing I wish that could have enhanced it was some better instructional pictures for the exercise. Or Maybe some You Tube Videos or website to get a better idea of how the Floor Barre looks.

Her story and meal plans were amazing.

Just beautiful. I love Misty Copeland and enjoyed all the stunning photographs, well-written insights, and healthy eating tips.

An inspiring book that has exercises starting on the floor. Even if you can't stand, going to more assertive and challenging ballet exercise routines, but also the book talks about healthy food, healthy lifestyle and healthy body image. So I really appreciate it. This view as well as the fact that it was written by black by artist who had succeeded through challenges and her input on this topic. I feel it's very important for all of us here and it's encouraging. She also talks about how she was injured, severely and had to have surgery and recover herself from that setback and restart from the reflection exercises. So it's not just talk. She lived the book she wrote here.

I listened because I appreciated Misty Copeland as a person, but the content of this book was fluffy and relatively superficial. The diet advice is mostly anecdotal so be cautious. The exercise wasn't groundbreaking. I prefer in-person teaching.

My goals just aren't aligned with this.
