Putting aside that it dragged in the middle, this book is life-changing and should be required reading. I learned an insane amount about the importance of sleep. TLDR: if you aren't sleeping at least 7 hours every night, you are pretty much killing yourself in a myriad of ways. Sleep is the most important preventer of diseases, mental illnesses, and (more or less) everything else!!!

Also, loved learning what caffeine does to your brain, why dreams matter, how alcohol affects your sleep, and the list goes on....

One of the most important books you will read. Great sourcing of material and well referenced. Walker makes sure to disclose when he is using scientific data and when he is making his own opinions and when he is describing his hopes for the subject matter's future. The scientific studies are well integrated into the narrative so that that learning is fun. His simplification and analogies are easy for anyone to understand.
