Let me start with if you care about your well being and health you must read this book. It is a simple and easy way to understand sleep, it’s importance for our health , wellness and our body.
I wish I had read this book earlier and would strongly recommend all people across age groups to read it.

Anyone who prides in saying I only sleep for 4 hours , should be felt sorry for and educated on what he / she is in for the future.

In depth examples and details make it easy to understand why author is insisting on what he is insisting.

This book came before wearables became commonplace. May be now with so much tech author need la to write another one on how people can use it to understand their data and make it work for them.

I had this book for last 2 years and finally got it . Wish I had read it earlier but it’s never too late

4.5 Excellent, informative, and fairly terrifying in places. I should get a paper copy to flip through for reference.

He’s working thoroughly in the existing social and cultural contexts he’s familiar with, so his recommendations occasionally irritated me through the capitalistic/productivity-focused reference points he used, and there were also a few comments on neuroatypical brains that bugged me.

On the whole, though, well-researched and overflowing with useful and clearly expressed information about a biologically essential part of human life.

Also, BRAINS. 🤓

Really good read.
Gave up caffeine after 4pm since reading, made such a difference to being able to fall asleep and wake up.
Interesting regarding tired driving being more dangerous than drink/drug driving combined.

Despite some flaws, it's one of the most important books you will ever read in your life!

This will probably be my #1 eye-opening book of the year. It has challenged, convicted, and inspired me. I can't stop talking about it to people, and I'm already implementing change in my own sleep habits.

Note: he does talk about evolution and "Mother Nature" a lot. I don't hold these same beliefs, but I can skip over these words, etc and still take in the truths about sleep. Just FYI if things like this concern you.
