Denne burde være pensum for alt og alle!!! Og politikerne burde i den grad læse med. Inspirerende, uhyggelig og lærerig læsning.

Very important read! Especially for all of those feeling like current sleep sacrifice is worth it. A change of mindset amongst all of us needs to happen regarding sleep and its key role in life.

Sure. Some examples of experiments used to depict the importance of sleep are dubious or exaggerated yet the main take-aways justify this method to make them be taken seriously.

Good content and really shines a light on importance of sleep. Quite a few times I had to question my own habits and whether I suffer from chronic sleep deprivation. However, the writing is not so good. I had difficulty reading more than a chapter at a time. Even skimmed some paragraphs which I don't normally do. It seems that lately it's a requirement to stuff a popular science book with fluff just to meet a certain page count. Overall a must read, but it could be summed up in 100 pages at most.

The most impactful book I've read all year. The author's interview with Joe Rogan hits on many of the highlights, but the book goes into greater depth.

A very important book about basic human function that everyone should read.

This book gave some great information about why we sleep. If you know anyone in your life that is trying to live on less than 6 hours a day of sleep, encourage them to read this book! I had no idea the impact that sleep plays on all aspects of our lives, from creativity to emotional and physical health. If you have ever doubted the benefits of sleep, read this book! I recommend this book for 12 and up.

The last 1/3 of the book was the only part I enjoyed.
The rest was extremely dry and non actionable… but if you need stats and objectivity to convince you of the importance of sleep then you’ll get that in spades in the first 2/3s. However, I wish the author went into better detail about the studies that he references, but whatever. The studies served a rhetorical purpose rather than a scientific one, which is classic for these types of books, but leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
