When I first started reading Misadventures of a Manny I was a little disappointed. I love, obsess over Toni Aleo's hockey romances. It didn't take long before I was kicking my negative attitude out the door. This book is magnificent. I loved the role reversals. Vera is the single mom needing a caregiver. She is the breadwinner. She is the home owner. After being crushed by her soon to be ex-husband the last thing she wants in a man in the house influencing her children, crowding her home.

Lincoln isn't just a manny (male nanny). He is so much more. He is educated. He is loving. He is caring and protective. He is a gorgeous mega hunk. He has recently lost the family he has cared for for the last six years to an overseas job. He is a crossroads and the stop sign is Vera.

I loved their journey from resistance to love and devotion. From day one Lincoln stood up for her against an ex that got uglier with the turn of each page. Lincoln protected her boys and her. How could I not love this man????

With a high powered career, Vera a divorced mother of three young boys finds herself in need of a nanny, but her boys scare away all of the applicants. With his family moving to Germany, Lincoln's child care employment is now up in the air. Brought together by need leads both of them to being brought together by fate when sparks fly. But can they go from employer/employee to lovers and friends? Adorable and a great read this was another perfect addition to a great series.

Vera & Lincoln
She needs a nanny for her kids after her hub left her for the last one. He just happens to be looking for a new gig after his last family moved out of the country.

Vera was a strong woman trying to find that work/life balance. Linc was so sweet and great with the kids. I loved them both.

Vera's cheating ex hub wins the cake for biggest douche in town.

Overall, a delight and one of my favorite of this series.

Absolutely one of my favorite books in the Misadventures series! I have to admit that I opened this one with a bit or curiosity. The idea of turning a manny into a sexy romance hero seemed like a daunting task to me--but I should have known it was Toni freakin' Aleo that we're talking about here, and the woman didn't just handle the task with grace, style, and sexiness...folks, she hit the damn ball right out of the park. The best thing is, she did it all with a subtlety to her prose and a respect for her characters that had me falling in love with them as true, real people that are dealing with true, real issues. My heart was aching and laughing and swooning and sighing, rooting for Linc and Vera as they fought their way past the misgivings and insecurities that would befall any normal couple having to redefine life around jobs and kids and "real life." The relatability of this story is the core of its beautiful charm, sigh-worthy feels, and eventually, and an HEA so satisfying, I closed the book with a reluctant sigh. I seriously didn't want it to end! Such a wonderful and well-told story. All the stars!!!

This was such a good misadventure! We meet Lincoln who is a manny for families. Vera who is a newly single and divorced woman. I really loved how lovable Lincoln was with and with family. I had moments when I really wanted to give a certain character a piece of my mind but didn't. Well cause one they cant here me and two that's just weird 🤣 Vera and her boys were adorable.. oh and Riana 🤣🤣 you need get laid 😂😂

I love these misadventure books. This is another amazing one. Toni did an amazing job with this story line especially regarding the kids. It was gripping sometimes heart wrenching but a great well written enjoyable book. I hated Simon. He was hurtful and just not a nice guy. Lincoln is yummy and wonderful . I absolutely loved his character and how he acts with the kids.Just a great story. Highly recommend reading this one.

I really enjoyed this story. I LOVED Lincoln! The attraction between him and Vera was strong from the beginning. I felt for Vera because she had spent 15 years with a complete douchebag so her self-esteem is pretty low. Vera needs Lincoln in her life just like Lincoln needs Vera in his.

I probably would have enjoyed it more if more time was spent on them actually developing feelings for one another. It’s pretty insta-love and honestly I disliked the ending. Certain little lines got on my nerves in this (eg, gay comments or at the end where he says ‘well now I gotta marry you’) and they just weren’t needed at all.

The husband could have been a little less dramatic, and I would have liked, since this is a stand-alone, for their relationship to at least finish on them being somewhat civil for the kids but I’ve read many Aleo books now and this is usually how it goes and I just can’t be 100% happy with the HEA when there’s such shit people in peoples lives. Even if he bounced and decided to never see the kids again would have been better. Overall it was a good story, but needed more or less in some areas, for me to love it.
