It's hard to say whether or not I have a favorite brother, you just can't choose between Enzo, Carm, and Dom. The women that each have chosen make them a better man, but it isn't until Dom and Val's story that you're heart just breaks open. Dom found his soul mate when he was in elementary school. They grew up together and fell in love. Dom wanted to conquer the world before he settled down so his family would never have to worry about money. As a broker he has almost done that, but he is missing something … the love of his life. Their relationship is on and off again, but it isn't until his story that we actually get to see him happy and smile.

Val is a dancer who got pregnant after a one night stand during an off-time with Dom. When they wake up married in Vegas their first reaction is that it was a mistake and to get an annulment. When their parents find out, they have no choice but to give it three months to see if they can make it work. They do their best to avoid one another, until they just can't anymore.

Val makes Dom smile, makes him happy. Over the course of the brother's books we only ever see him unhappy and unsmiling and that is what shows you she is the difference. They may have screwed up and gotten married in Vegas while drunk but they were always meant for one another. I love how their parents manipulated them into seeing that for themselves and even Ryder (Val's Son) is happy to see his mom so happy. While Enzo's story is my favorite, I think that Dom is my favorite brother. I also love how they always solve disagreements about things they don't want to do by using Rock, Paper, Scissors. It usually ends up with Enzo having to do the task because he doesn't win a lot, but I love the dynamic between the brothers.

I was excited to get Dom’s book. His story wasn’t what I was expecting but it answered who he was seeing in Carm’s book. This wasn’t just a second chance romance, it was one that had a long history between the characters and their families. Enjoyable story and the writing I’ve come to love from Piper Rayne.

Wild Steamy Hookup is the third book in this series but it was my first ever read from these authors. Based on my reading, this could still be read as a stand alone even if its feels like interconnecting with previous characters appearing not to mention that glimpses of their pasts was mentioned on earlier books. Nevertheless, I was able to follow through the story but for best reading experience, I would advice starting from book one.

Dom and Val had a complicated past, although it didn't stop them from harboring strong feelings for each other. And it was evident from that passionate night they've shared at Vegas, they still couldn't get enough. They say what happens in Vegas, stay in Vegas but this time, it followed them back to their little hometown.

I find it hilarious the way their meddlesome mothers guilt trip them into staying married. I felt like I was back home watching those beloved telenovellas me and mom was a fan of. This book definitely gave me that vibe and I loved it! Also, even I could vouch that at some point, these kind of wily meddling happened to some friends I know. Heck, I watch it happened to one of my aunt, LOL. So, in a way, this was bringing back good old memories and that even at this age and time, even if you're a grown up, tough person, they can still reduced you down to a fumbling teenager.

There were moments that I couldn't help but want to smack some sense to them and yell for them to get their act together. I'm rooting for these two. They've wasted a lot of years circling around their feelings and it is high time that they sit down and talk about it. What happened in Vegas was nothing short of fate. This was a fun, second chance romance with a wild dash of meddling but loveable second characters. Can't wait to read the story of the baby in the family, Blanca!

Dom and Val are just the best. Dom is the older much more serious strictly workaholic brother of the Mancini tribe. He has loved Val since they were kids and she has loved him the same and longer but circumstances and Dom’s worry over working so hard to never have to be concerned about money pushes them apart. Years later they try to the friends with benefits deal and that doesn’t work out for them so months later they wake up in Vegas in a post night of drinking haze married to each other. I loved these two together, they had a lot to work through and added Italian mother guilt they had to try to make their marriage work. They had chemistry like no other but their communication skills were seriously lacking and probably the root of all their issues. I was happy to see the other brothers, the Blanco’s and the whole family. They are funny and make me laugh especially Carm. A great book and can’t wait for more.

Book 3 in an interconnected series ~ best when read after book 1 and 2.

Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, Vegas wedding, only one bed, forced proximity, childhood sweethearts, reunited lovers, second chance, steamage

Dom and Valentina's history goes back two decades to when they were 16. They can never seem to get their act together and make their relationship work. When they drunkenly get hitched in Vegas they're ready to get it annulled asap, but their Italian parents have another idea ~ take 3 months to try to make it work.

Dom is a workaholic, leaving no time for a social life. He only has one thing on his mind ~ making as much money as he can, leaving no time for a wife. But can forced proximity make him realize he can have both a career and a family?

As with Carm, in the previous book, it really took me a long time to warm up to Dom too. Finally hearing his full side of the story helped me fall in love with him. I'll be honest though I did perk up when it was implied that he's left handed ~ I have a weird thing about that.

Wild Steamy Hook-Up is the third book in Piper Rayne’s White Collar Brothers series. I have been waiting for Dom’s book since the first book in the series and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. This book starts where Carm's book left us - in Vegas.

From Carm’s book we knew that Dom had a wedding ring on his finger and a woman in his bed. What we didn’t know is who the woman was. Was she random? Did we know her from previous books? How does she fit into Dom’s life? We quickly find out that the she in question is Valentina Daniella Cavallo, a woman who grew up in the same Italian neighborhood as Dom.

We quickly learn that Dom and Val have HISTORY. This book is told in a dual first person point of view (my favorite) and we also get random flashbacks to various points in the past. This really helps give context to Dom and Val's relationship.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I want to scream it from the mountain tops. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to slap Dom and Val upside the head at many points of the book, but at the same time I wanted to hug them and make them finally work it out. I definitely recommend this book and the entire White Collar Brothers series. Go to readwithrach.com for my full review :)

(I received an ARC for this book)

Of the three, I think this is my favorite. Not only is Dom my favorite brother (don’t tell the others) but his and Val’s story held the most power. It held so much heavy emotion all the way through. It was easy to root for them. To root for Dom, for Val, and for them to find their footing together. While we got plenty of Enzo and Carm in the first two books, we never really got anything from Dom. He was such a mystery, which means I only needed him that much more. And of course, that ending for book two…Dom is the reasonable brother. The responsible brother. The wise older brother. However, that is not the brother we are welcomed by! Dom and Val have a deep connected past. She was never meant to be his, she was always meant for someone else. They may have been apart, but they were never without the other. When we got more information about Val, because she’s been his mystery woman through the series until now, I swear my eyebrows went up to my hair line and my jaw hit the floor. I was ready for a mess, but not this kind of mess! But it’s their mess, and it was beautiful to see them finally maneuver through it together. There’s a lot of moving parts for them to work through until they finally get their happily ever after. Especially when their parents get involved, and now everyones’ hearts are being played with, including mine! Dom knows that if anyone can change him, make him a better man, it’s Val. But is that a fight she’s willing to endure? Her mind is so focused on the negatives of the situation, she misses all the positive things. He’s hurt time and time again. He tries to turn his emotions off. To protect himself, protect her. And it’s painful to watch it unfold. Dom and Val’s heartbreak was my heartbreak. I suffered when they suffered. I really thought from the beginning that Carm was going to be my favorite; that he was a shoo-in. But now that I know Dom, I am so much more protective of him. And no matter how much I got of him, it was never enough. Val on the other hand…well, she’s no Annie or Bella. She always assumes the worst, never accepts any blame. She’s quick to run. I was hesitant when it came to whether or not she deserved Dom. I hated that so much fell back on Dom and he had to carry so much of the pain and heartbreak.

My Favorite Quotes:
• “Do you want breakfast, Mrs. Mancini, or should we each call our attorneys first?”
• “I’ll always want the world for you, whether it involves me or not.”
• “There’s nothing platonic about us.”
• “If there was a woman in this world who could change me, it’d be you.”
• “As delicious as always.”
• “I’m not picky. As long as it’s you I get.”
• “You stand on the first pedestal. It’s always you. Always.”
• “Do you not pay attention to me? There’s only one woman I want that with.”
