If he were a flavor, he’d be diet vanilla. If he were a color, it would be beige. If he were a temperature, it would be tepid bathwater.

My heart is just FULL of emotions lollll. Gahhhhh, I’m the worst when it comes to endings!! This is the LAST book of Emma St. Clair's Love Clichés series and reading it was sooooo bittersweet! The dynamic and chemistry between introverted Rhys and extroverted Sam drew me in right away from the very beginning; and even though the slow burn had me superrrrr impatient at times, it was totally worth it.

As far as content goes: Suggestive material/innuendos. The "only one bed" trope made an appearance (which I lovedddd) but no worries regarding that. Brief nudity (side character) that wasn't descriptive or sexual (it was meant to be funny). There was no on-page sex, but it was talked about/implied between different characters. Rhys had past/present struggles with his mom parents, but none of those problems were triggering for me...however, others might feel differently. I don't remember anything else?? I would describe the book as a "PG-13 romance movie."

Time to share some IMPORTANT points!

1: Okay, but the way Rhys takes care of Lucas?? OH MY GOSH. It’s too precious.

2: I love that he’s secretly shy.

3: Well, James is NOT staying in his lane and honestly...I’m here for it.

4: Being allergic to silence is something I can relate too lol. Talking to everything and anything?? YEPPPPO.

5: The Killer nickname is cuteeeee.

6: Pinkiesssss.

7: Taylor is a real one.

8: And I was really missing the interaction between the friend group righttttt before the video chat happened, which I absolutely loved!

9: That buildup for the first kiss (and the kiss itself, obviously) WAS UNBELIEVABLE. Incredible. I’m so happy with how it happened. Gahhhhhh.

10: The costume shop. THE COSTUME SHOP. I became even more devastated by Rhys.

11: I couldn’t stand Rhys’ mother, in all honesty.

12: Thayden is still my favorite guy from the series, but Rhys is a veryyyy close second.

13: I feel like I should admit that I actually don't find Ryan Gosling attractive. 🙈

*Just a little note, I know there's a bonus scene to fill in some storyline blanks, but I think I would've liked to see that scene in the actual book as a flashback...just to help tie everything in more.*

Despite the rocky start for Rhys and Sam's relationship, they ended up having something so pure and wonderful with each together...I'm a hardcore #RhySam shipper. There were a few things that threw me for a loop (I had suspicions, but still) and other things that felt rushed/unresolved; but I still really, REALLY loved the book.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to these amazing characters that Emma has created, but I’m SO excited to say hello to her new characters!

To Emma (Kirsten), thank you for writing such a sweet, heartfelt series full of love and laughter! 💗

I don’t even know why I doubted him in the first place, why I didn’t just talk about my reaction to the kiss, about my fears about the physical stuff. I haven’t given him enough credit.

I also haven’t given myself enough credit.

Oh mannnnnn. This book tugged at the heartstrings, y’all. I loved all the personal growth and helping each other be comfortable in their own skin. Even though they had their struggles, Harper and Chase most definitely had a swoony/precious relationship that was portrayed in such a natural/perfect way as they loved each other through their insecurities. They both just oozed with sweetness and it made my heart so incredibly fullllllll.

Also, I love how each book makes me love/appreciate the girls’ friendship even more...seriously. I don’t know how Emma did it, but she DID. I’m already convinced that Sam’s book (the final book of the series) is going to wreckkkkk me. There were so many key “Harper and Abby” moments that were just so raw and special...gahhhh.

As far as content goes: There was no on-page sex, but it was talked about, and there was some suggestive material/innuendos (nothing too crazy). Characters did drink. Chase had past/present-ish struggles with his parents and the passing of Harper's mom was also discussed. I would describe the book as a mild "PG-13 romance movie."

Chase is a real one, y’all. The way he intervened on the camping trip during a certain UNpleasant situation was SO Chase...props to him, lol. And then he did yet ANOTHER super sweet gesture on top of that one?! He ranks extremelyyyy high on the ideal book boyfriend list, just saying.

It’s not hard to tell that Emma put so much into this book...I know she has with all of the series, but it reallyyyyy showed with this one. She made me feel all the feels. And even though I’m not neruodivergent, Emma did a fantastic job of making sure I was able to understand the "why" behind the way Harper responded to different scenarios. I felt like Harper’s descriptions and experiences based off her heightened senses were very well-written. 💗

Two random points...

1: Low-fat baloney is a wonderful but horrible comparison lolll.
2: I really wanted them to keep the baby goat tbh (however, I'm totally fine with what happened instead).

AND THAT ENDING THOUGH. Justttt the right amount of everything. I'm so excited to see how the series gets wrapped up! Also, I'm pretty sure Harper's brothers are getting their own books (rightttttt, Emma???) so that's going to be AMAZING.

If you haven't started this series yet...what are you waiting for?! 😱

So I parted my lips and spoke. “I want to be happy again.” The words rushed from my lips, and my heart pounded. Was it possible that I could be happy again?

Logan stepped forward with an earnest expression. “Then let’s be happy.”

The book had so many swoony and precious moments between the main characters and I really liked the “Romeo and Juliet” aspect of it. Logan was quiteeeee the catch...definitely book boyfriend material.

At times their relationship felt kind of rushed, but it was also understandable because they did know each other before plus they were both dealing with a lot of different emotions. Despite the plot's quick progression, I was still able to enjoy the romantic elements of the book. 💗

As far as content goes: No language that I can remember and only kissing. I don't think there was anything really suggestive. The book also had absent parents, alcoholics, implications of an affair, and mention of teens drinking.

If you're looking for a cute, angsty, fast summer read...then you should definitely check this one out. 😊

But things cannot continue on like this. She’s my next-door neighbor. She’s the girl I’m crazy about. Things have to get back to normal, and I don’t know how to make that happen.

So, the book had lots of Hallmark-y vibes for me, but without the over-the-top cringe and completely cliché antics which was veryyyyy refreshing!!

I loved the dynamic between Millie and her sister Lo (I feel like it was very realistic, and Lo was such a trip lolllll).
I loved seeing Millie’s process as a writer (it was so cute how she made changes to her story as her relationship with Jameson kept changing).
I loved both of the main characters' their inner-thoughts, but Millie’s just really cracked me up lol (PURE GOLD).

And Jameson? SIGHSSSSSS. Jameson was literally the sweetest and definitely an amazing neighbor/friend, he was everything that Millie needed. 😍😍

The flirting was adorable. So many of the descriptions/scenarios left me smiling. Anddddd I would really love to see more books about the side-characters that were mentioned in this story...I feel like one couple might get their own book for sure, soooooo hopefully I’m right. 👀👀

As far as content goes: No language! And there wasn't really any suggestive material/innuendos, so no worries there. I do want to point out that Jameson was a state trooper, so he obviously saw a lot of different things (people being drunk was mentioned, and so was a domestic abuse situation). I don’t feel like this is spoilery (because it’s mentioned pretty early on) but Jameson did deal with a stalker; I didn't feel like there was nothing too graphic about this though (except for one part more toward the end), and I know it was to help move along other aspects of the plot. Some harder topics like death, grief, and parents leaving (or parents who were never in the picture to begin with) were also addressed in the book.

I loved how the conflict of the plot was honestly just Millie’s uncertainty about Jameson and her mixed feelings when it came to him. She was so scared, and I think it was super realistic that she kept trying to keep him at a distance even after they both realized they liked each other. It can be so hard to let someone in...especially when that someone seems too good to be true.

It was definitely an enjoyable, mostly fluffy, cute, quirky story! 💗💗

He didn’t know. He didn’t know how I was, not truly.

But I wanted him to. I wanted Walsh to know how I was, how I could be, just in the way I wanted to know him. Every thought, every desire, every dream. I wanted to know it all, and even though it was a terrifying thought, I wanted him to know all of me too.

Gahhhhh, I honestly can’t even begin to express how much I loved this book. Seriously. I was worried that all the drama on Sophia’s side (and also on Walsh’s side) would taint the book and make it hard for me to enjoy...but it didn’t. And while I usually can predict certain aspects of most stories, this one actually had a few unexpected twists!

Y'all, by the end of the book, I realized how much hope this story held...it really showed that even though bad things happen (and it doesn’t look like anything will change for the better), life can surprise you and turn out absolutely amazing. There were so many good lessons. I loved the character development and growth. Sophia was definitely selfish at times, but aren’t we all? And I loved how she was finally able to recognize that about herself and deal with it.

As far as content goes: No language and only kissing/making out. Walsh was shirtless a couple of times. Brief/mild suggestive comments were made. Dishonesty was a big part of the plot. Cheating did happen (not between the main characters). Underage drinking was mentioned. Mostly-absent parents were part of the storyline (I wasn't triggered by this, but other readers could be). I don't want to spoil anything, so I will just say that the book does have some more serious themes; BUT, they weren't very extreme and didn't overshadow the romance elements. I can't remember if there was anything else.

Walsh is 100% worthy of being book boyfriend material. I know he wasn’t perfect and made mistakes, but I liked how that just made him more real. I swooned, and swooned, and swooned, y’all. 😍💗

I didn’t want the book to end, I really didn’t. 😭🥺

This book has been on my TBR for sooooo long, lol, and I knew that I wanted to read it for Christmas in July (yessss, this review is a little late 🙈🙈). Lots of Christmassy feels? A definite MUST. Cozy bookish vibes? Please, and thank you. Adorable swoonworthy moments? Give them alllll to me! Snowflakes and Sparks was a cute, quick holiday read. ❄😊

As far as content goes: Some language and suggestive material/innuendos. Also, Suzie made a mental remark about Alex being a prostitute or pimp--because women kept entering and leaving his house--while also wondering if he was getting naked with all of them. She eventually told him that she thought women were paying him for sexual favors (which wasn't the case). I can understand why this was meant to be funny, but it honestly just rubbed me the wrong way. There was no on-page sex, but it was obviously talked about. Suzie stripped down to her undergarments at one point, in front of Alex, but in a nonsexual way. I think that was everything. 🤔 I would describe the book as a "PG-13 romance movie."

I know Christmas in July is over, but if you enjoy holiday romances that take place in a small town and have Hallmark-ish feels (but with a little more suggestive content, so Lifetime-ish feels lol?) you should add this one to your list for when Christmas comes back around. 🎄💗

A faint smile plays on his lips.

Very good friends?” he says.

I’ve still got my arm around him and I find the spot on the side of his ribs that I know is ticklish. He laughs, trying to jerk out of my grip, but I don’t let him go.

“We are very good friends,” I say. “Aren’t we?”

Weston’s hand comes up to cover mine, stopping my tickle assault. But instead of letting go, he keeps his hand in place.

His caramel eyes meet mine, and for a few beats, all the sounds of the mall fade away. My hand is hot underneath his big palm, so, so hot. The heat travels to my wrist and up the sensitive skin on the inside of my elbow.

Like my last read, this one was also a novella...so I won't be saying toooo much because then I'll spoil everything, and we do NOT want that. I will, however, let y'all know that this short and sweet Christmas romance was WONDERFUL.

The chemistry between these two friends was insaneeeeee and reading about them secretly pining for each other (and getting jealous 😏) was the best kind of torture, lol. And even though all the "holidates" weren't perfect, they were definitely fun and they made it IMPOSSIBLE not to ship Taylor and Weston.

As far as content goes: Any suggestive material/innuendos were pretty minor, so no worries there. No "actual" language (everyone does have different preferences and viewpoints on what counts as profanity though). Also, the term "pimp" was used to describe Weston's mom in a manner that was supposed to be funny, but it honestly just rubbed me the wrong way. There was no on-page sex, but it was talked about/implied between different characters. Cheating does happen (not between the main characters). I think that was everything. 🤔 I would describe the book as a mild "PG-13 romance movie."

If you enjoy cute quick reads with LOTS of humor, then you need to check this one out for sure! And as alwaysssss, I am sooooooo looking forward to the next book!

Oh, and that ending was PRICELESS. 🤣🙌

He meets my gaze and holds it steady, speaking with his eyes. Speaking to my soul. “I do have feelings for you.” His voice is hoarse, like he’s been shouting the same words forever and I never heard.

“You do?”

“I do.” He squeezes my hands and all the air leaves my lungs. “I have all the feelings for you. Every single one of them. I always have.

I honestly can't say toooooo much about this book, because it wasssss a novella and I don't want to spoil anything, but just know that it was a super cute read! I love celebrating Christmas in July, and this book made it fun to do so with the perfect combination of Christmas AND summertime activities.

As far as content goes: Any suggestive material/innuendos were pretty minor, so no worries there. And there was no language that I can remember.

I really appreciated how the past was woven in throughout the book to give a better picture of what happened between Beau and Kasey, it explained why she "hated" him so much and also why he treated her the way he did when they were teenagers. Oh! And I loved that the book ties in with Julie's other book,The Mostly Real McCoy...which is on my TBR, and I'm even MORE excited to read it now!

If you love Christmas-themed and/or summer-themed romances with unrequited love/hate-to-love vibes and crazy family antics, I recommend giving this quick (but sweet) romcom a chance. 😊

“Hey. Delilah, look at me.”

There’s a firm set to her shoulders and a tightness to her jaw. With hands gentler than I’ve ever used, I brush fingertips over her cheeks, cupping her jaw, urging but not forcing her to meet my gaze.

When she does, she’s fighting to blink back tears. The sight makes me split in two—one half a vengeful warrior wanting to slay what hurt her and the other a tender man I’ve never been before, one who wants to hug away her sorrows.

This book literally had me thinking “one more chapter” so often that I had the hardest time NOT flying through all the chapters. Y’all, even the author’s note sucked me in lol. You can tell Emma St. Clair put a lot of heart and soul into this book which just made me love the book so much more.

The humor was fantastic (example: getting stuck in clothes is the WORST). The romance was swoony as HECK (example: um, just about ANYTHING THAT THAYDEN DID OR SAY?!). The friendship dynamic between the girls was goldennnnn, as always (example: all the "Team Thayden" scheming lollll). And Apollo was ADORABLE, he really added that extraness to the book (example: ohmygosh, he was just an absolute sweetheart with both Thayden and Delilah).

As far as content goes: Any suggestive material/innuendos were pretty minor, so no worries there. No language that I can remember. There was no on-page sex, but it was talked about/implied between different characters, and there were innuendos. Thayden and Delilah both had past/present-ish struggles with their parents (excluding Thayden's mom), but none of those problems were triggering for me...however, others might feel differently. I can't think of anything else, lol. I would describe the book as a mild "PG-13 romance movie."

I would’ve loved to see some of the loose ends tied, but I’m not necessarily bitter over that...just curious. The epilogue was wonderful because it showed just a littleeeee bit more of Thayden and Delilah while still setting up for Harper and Chase's book (which I've heard AMAZING things about).

All in all, this is my favorite book of the series so far and these two hot-headed marshmallows (yes, marshmallows, because they're both FLUFF underneath all that "nonchalant/tough guy" persona) have definitely managed to make themselves my current favorite couple (I’m sorry, Abby and Zane!!!).
