I Kill Killers is a very dark crime thriller about Leah, a morally grey character, who kills serial killers. It follows Liam an FBI agent who connects her to their current case and is hunting her down. It was an interesting read of morals and what is deemed as good or evil. I enjoyed the darkness of it, the in depth descriptions of the killings (I love horror and gore so this was right up my alley). I also really enjoyed leah’s point of view the best, this is told in first person and third person duel POV. I loved that there was autistic representation and seeing also how her alexithymia factored into how she operated.
That being said my main beef with this book is the lack of Leah’s POV. I personally do not like cops or any kind of military propaganda so seeing the story majority taking place through Liam’s perspective made for a very repetitive storytelling and made me incredibly bored. From the synopsis it seemed like Leah’s perspective would be the main focus, but we spent the majority of the book following around Liam as he came across dead end after dead end. I also thought the little diversity this book had was disappointing unfortunately (the majority of them are victims in this book or domestic workers)
I loved the concept and premise of this story, it has great potential as we now know it’s going to be a series, but I think a lot of stuff could’ve been fleshed out more, not as rushed and focus more on certain characters and not just the cops. Some of the dialogue was a bit awkward, some of the comments being made by the men in this book were a bit questionable too sometimes. But, overall this was a decent read, the ending really made reading this worth it, and I will probably read the sequel to this to find out what happens next.

I have so much to say about this book, but I’ll try to keep it short. While this book did take me a little bit to REALLY get into, when I did. I absolutely enjoyed it. It tackled some pretty serious topics while keeping the romance between Theo and Caleb sweet, cute and so fucking endearing too.
This whole premise of being a christian and struggling with coming into your queerness hit very close to home and I almost did tear up a bit many times, especially with the conversations Theo was having with his mom, those warmed my heart and broke my heart simultaneously.
I absolutely LOVED the found family and how Caleb and Theo’s friend group’s blended together perfectly. I loved how all of them had each other’s backs no matter what it made me incredibly happy and wish I had the same type of support system Theo had. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Grace, I saw so much of her in myself.
Overall this book was very quick, covered many topics that really needs to be discussed in books more. I enjoyed reading the different view points on christianity. I loved how diverse this book was and the representation it had. If you’re looking for a cute queer book that covers religious themes and trans this is definitely the book for you

I’m not gonna lie I have mixed feelings about this book. While I do love Ben and Dean and their dynamic, the story itself seemed kinda dull, dragged on and was very boring at some parts. I think it’s because the style of writing wasn’t my cup of tea per se. but I understand why people would rate this book very high. I did think the topics covered in the story were covered pretty well, some parts could’ve been fleshed out and covered better than others.
The writing got better for me towards the end. I didn’t really particularly like Erin, Ben’s best friend. I didn’t understand why Ben owed her an apology when she was the one who didn’t even believe he was gay. I absolutely loved Tony, Ashley, Dean’s parents and Mr. Elliot a bunch, they made the story worth while. I thought Dean and Ben’s romance was a little rocky at first, the dialogue in the book at times was a little awkward too along with the pacing of the book but overall a pretty quick and cute queer book with some great aro-ace representation.

can’t believe this is a fucking debut novel!?? i loved every second of it. one of the most diverse books ive ever read. i loved the friend group, i loved how they were always there for each other. i loved the very sensitive topics that were discussed and covered with care. i loved the parents and how supportive and understanding they were of enrique.
enrique’s mental health struggles, his thought process and everything was something i also struggle with and i felt so fucking seen and heard in this book so much i connected so much with him. i loved every second of enrique coming into his queerness and exploring his sexuality. i loved how sex positive this book was too.
i loved everyone that helped enrique along the way and i loved saleem and enrique’s dynamic and interactions i was left needing and wanting more! you could tell how much they really loved each other
i think everyone could get something out of this book weather it’s about this history of palestine, the struggles queer people and people of colour go through, mental health etc, there is something in here for everyone. definitely a must read book for sure.

This is my first time reading a book from this author and I will say it wasn’t really what I expected in good and some bad ways. I did like Casey and Landon’s relationship a lot. How Casey gave Landon space when he needed it, let him take the lead when being intimate and respected his boundaries too.
I did like how easily sex was discussed in this book, how we don’t have to make it a weird or awkward conversation in relationships about what each partner wants or needs. I thought this book was very wholesome, funny at times and i liked the dynamic between the characters, family and friends.
That being said the amount of sex in this book did give me whiplash because from the cover/description I just wasn’t expecting there to be so much. I’m definitely not a HUGE smut person, but I did appreciate the scenes, especially how completely Landon was with Casey. Some of the dialogue was a bit awkward at times and I personally didn’t like how they made fun of Casey being dumb, but I did like how that was discussed and how Landon reassured him he wasn’t dumb.
Overall it was a pretty fun and cute book. Some things did catch me off guard but I still enjoyed the story overall.

I actually fairly enjoyed myself while reading this book. It was a cute, kinda spicy, cozy read and overall great small town christmas vibes. There was some cringe dialogue here and there and sometimes i would skim a lot of Matthew’s tangents, but I did think Hector and Matthew were very cute and how their love for each other developed was very interesting to me and I liked their interactions.
I loved the queer side characters, the diversity and how inclusive it was. If you’re looking for a cute queer christmas book with a little bit of spice this is definitely the book for you.

As someone who grew up around theatre because of my family this was such a joy to read. It was informative in the sense of you know nothing about performing or how to put in a show it went into a lot of detail which was actually very interesting! But, most of all I absolutely loved how even tho the characters were flawed and made lots of mistakes, they learned from them, grew and evolved and that’s just how teenagers are.
I love how queer this book was. The diversity and representation was really great (gay, trans, bi/pan etc). I loved seeing the journey Wade and Brady went on. From learning to change as people, performers, learning to get out their comfort zones. I also liked how realistic it was in the sense that even though you have this image of what you want to do with your future it may not always go as planned and that’s okay. It may hurt, but those feelings won’t last forever.
I laughed a lot and read this book in one day, I did not want it to end. This was one of my most anticipated releases and it definitely lived up to everything I thought it would be, and then some. I relate to Brady a lot in the sense that it’s okay to be quiet, it’s not a bad thing. I do think maybe if Brady was possibly a junior and not a sophomore it would’ve been better, but overall I absolutely loved this book and will be reading it again.

I read this book in 6 hours, it was such a delight to read. From everything to the representation, the plot, characters and everything in between, I enjoyed all of it so much it was such a quick and easy read for me. This book has been on my TBR for a while now and I regret putting it off for so long.
While it was funny, lighthearted and so fucking cute, It covered so many VERY important topics to LGBTQ+ struggles, religion, sports, racism etc and i felt like the author did a good job showing these important topics and how they can play out overall. Spencer and Justice are so adorable and how their relationship developed was such a joy to read. I absolutely LOVED Spencer’s parents and how supportive they were, how much they were willing to learn and educate themselves. I loved spencer’s friends and the soccer team and their dynamics/support they have to one another, I really wanted more of their interactions!
Theo was such a great character too, probably my favourite! As a queer black, trans and autistic person who grew up with religious parents myself i felt so seen and heard in this book and loved every second of that representation and loved seeing the similarities the struggles I face day to day. I also appreciate that we saw so much queer joy and not just 300+ pages of queer people being traumatised which was very refreshing to me.
Overall, I absolutely would recommend this book to anyone, loved loved loved everything this book was about.

I read this book in a day, i really did enjoy it! It was quick, fun and very cute at times. I loved all the representation, the dynamic between the friend groups (loved Celeste so much, i relate to her a lot). It was a fun book to read and I would definitely recommend if you need a cute quick book to read to pass the time.
That being said I did think at times some of the dialogue was a bit awkward. There were definitely a lot of flat lines plot wise and some plot lines just felt like loose ends left unfinished (especially the picture situation at the end specifically) and a lot of plot lines and character background stuff, just seemed rushed and unanswered. EDIT: i’m gonna leave the unfinished plot lines to this being a series. I just felt like there was an extra something missing. I still enjoyed the book a lot, but from the dialogue, plot, sex scenes etc it just could’ve used a bit more work.
Overall I did actually have a fun time reading this book!

This book was by all means not perfect but boy did i eat this up and enjoy this WAYYYY more that Sunny Disposition. I’m glad the AD plot line continued into this book because I was kinda flabbergasted how abruptly it ended in the first book in the series. I loved how the AD plot intertwined with Ryn and Sam and all the hockey members too.
The girls hockey team, Ryn’s friends and their dynamic was such a joy to read, i love all the new characters and old characters and I loved all the dynamics between them. Again the representation was so good in this one and the topics covered (bullying, unfairness in women’s sports etc) was covered in such a good way. Ryn and Sam’s relationship and the development was done way better than Naomi’s and Finn’s in my opinion (still love them though they cute as hell!) and i loved the growth. Even though i’m not a smut person person per say, and yes there was a lot of sex scenes in here considering it was friends with benefits, I still liked them and how it showed the growth in their relationship throughout.
I can’t wait to read Saftey net and continue seeing the different relationships showcased. I also NEED more Eden in any book, I really hope she gets her book soon with Henrik because it seems like they have a thing. I’m just gushing over Eden so much because as a black alt/goth person myself I just see so much in her in me already and she’s already one of my new fav characters. Overall really enjoyed this book, such an improvement from the first!
