Millie? Nosy as hell. FFS šŸ˜¤šŸ˜‚

Now listen, Enzo and Brock? They carried this whole damn story on their backs like saints. I genuinely don’t know how I made it through without rage-quitting—probably because they were the only ones who remembered how to use their brains. Bless them šŸ™

I actually enjoyed the first book, even though I barely remembered half of it (oops). I walked in thinking this sequel would serve the same energy... aaand nope. I was wrong. So very wrong 🫠

Was it bad? Nah. But it sure as hell wasn’t what I signed up for. My happy expectations? Shattered. šŸ«„šŸ’”

Let’s talk about the leads. Millie and Wendy were both—how do I put this gently?—disasters. Millie had potential back in book one, I liked her! But four years later she’s supposed to be the genius of the group... and instead, she’s out here making decisions that made me want to throw the book at a wall. And Wendy?? Don’t even get me started. Every scene with her had me screaming internally. Girl, get it together. 😩

That said… Freida McFadden, you sneaky queen šŸ‘‘ Just when I think I’ve figured everything out, she drops a bomb outta nowhere and leaves me speechless. It’s what she does best—and I lowkey live for it.

I was warned this one was the ā€œleast favoriteā€ of the trilogy, and yeah, I get it now. But even with the frustration, I’m still hyped for the last one. Just not yet—I need a breather and a shot of tequila first šŸ˜…šŸ“–šŸ’€

Wow, this was a lot.

This was soooo emotional, like.. damn. I struggled a lot, the romance is a subplot here and I didn’t realized till I was like halfway through it.

I wanted to read this book when it was available for ARC but I didn’t got it and then I forgot all about it until now šŸ˜…

Things I enjoyed:
The main character finding her calling in life, it was actually satisfying to watch her evolve and I was glad to see that she find her dream job at the end.
The male main character also finding his way into his dream job, which by the way was a long way coming.
The self-discovery they both had, it was so cute.

I wanted to love it, I couldn’t tho. It was too much pain for me, I guess that’s good for the book because the main point of it it’s to feel the loss and grief through James & Erin’s eyes. They both had to go through a lot of pain, a lot of sadness, stress, struggles, even anxiety. I had the same problem I had reading Happy Place, I couldn’t separate the feelings and it was all too much for my heart.

And tee had a bit of bullying and mental illness through the story too, it became a lot for my liking.

I think it’s a good book, it just wasn’t for me.

And finally, one of the main things I didn’t liked was that we kept having these little flashbacks in between conversations and I didn’t understand it sometimes šŸ˜…

So, consider yourself warned, and go ahead šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø

What can I say? I fucking love Rhys Dupris.

What a man. What a thoughtful, sweet, big man.

I enjoyed this book sooo much, especially because there was zero drama!! not a single third-act breakup (just when I thought it was coming, the characters ACTUALLY GOT THEIR SHIT TOGETHER AND TALKED. My god, is it really that hard to have conversations like that in EVERY BOOK?!)

Sorry, got carried away šŸ˜…

Back to the review: the plot was interesting, and while the characters were a little immature and dramatic at the beginning, they thankfully grew.

The side characters? Well, I know my family when I see them—they were spectacular as always. šŸ„¹šŸ«¶šŸ»

The pacing was good. The story itself is just sweet. Honestly, I believe this is one of the best stories Elsie has written.

I’m still debating how I would rank my men in the Rose Hill series.. don’t rush me, we still have Bash’s story left (and I’m beyond excited, if you ask me).

Anyway, I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for something lighthearted (maybe..? It does touch on a subtle, heavier subject so idk) I’d say read the blurb and decide from there, but for me? It was a hell yes.

Hope you love it too. šŸ’–

That was insane.

Holy shit.

That’s it, I’m in love.

I knew Rhysand was going to be a huge fucking deal, but… it never crossed my mind that he would battle Xaden for Book Boyfriend of the freaking DECADE!!! Oh how I cried, oh how he changed me forever!! šŸ˜šŸ’–

You guys could’ve warned me!!

This was everything I hoped for—AND MORE. After ACOTAR (which you already know I wasn’t a huuuuge fan of), I knew the good stuff was coming in this one, but damn… that was good.

Everything, from the magical storyline, the mind-blowing plot (with those twists!!), the exquisite pacing, the HUGE (and BEAUTIFUL) character development.. it was all so gorgeously executed.

I loved getting the background of so many characters. I loved watching them grow up and develop into the powerful forces they are now. I loved the challenging moments, the chemistry, the slow-burn romance, the found family dynamics.

I think this was such a solid way to continue the first book, and honestly? It’s a big deal for me now šŸ˜‚ I know the next ones probably won’t feel quite like this one did, but I’m already excited.

Once again, thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and making me try fantasy books. I’m quite frankly having a blast  šŸ’–  šŸ’–

Let’s get one thing out of the way:
Feyre is exhausting
and insufferable.

She spends half the book mortified about not being able to read or write, but somehow has no issue acting like a complete fool on a daily basis šŸ™ƒ The logic isn’t logic-ing.

That said, I would like to make clear that: even if it doesn’t look like.. šŸ˜‚ I did liked the book! Very much.

I understand that this was the base of the whole series and this book needed to be what it was in order for everyone to understand what the hell is going on šŸ˜‚

The pace was great, the writing actually surprised me for being a book a decade older.. and the plot it’s actually pretty amazing.

The characters were introduced very well, and you REALLY get to know them, even if it seems like they don’t say much, watching them through Feyre’s eyes was enough. Gotta say, Tamlin seemed cute for a moment but I have my thoughts about him and I don’t know but I can’t stand the guy anymore šŸ˜… And Feyre… well I’ve already layered my thoughts at the beginning but let me add that I think I do understand where she comes from with her character, she just needs to develop a bit more, to forge a strong character.

I really cannot wait to know Rhys better.

So here I am: deep in my fantasy era. Something I never, in a million years, thought I’d say šŸ™ƒ Enjoy it while it lasts šŸ˜‚

In honor of Fearless coming out in 2 days, I’m posting my review of Powerless now because I forgot to do it a month ago 🤭

Keep in mind that I read this book 1 month ago and I wrote the review right after I read it šŸ˜‚ or you will not understand why the hell I said some things down here šŸ˜‚

Anyway here we go:

Well this was interesting! šŸ¤”

You were not lying when you said I shouldn’t have started my Romantasy era with The Empyrean Series because now nothing would feel quite like it anymore šŸ˜‚

ANYWAY, I’m intrigued, I like the idea, and I like the betrayal even more 😈 (even if it was predictable at the end), so it’s safe to say I’ll continue this series, but of course as I’m no masochist I’ll wait for the third book to come out in a month to read the second and third together šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø I honestly don’t believe I’ll be able to survive if I read it now

I liked the characters, the side characters, liked the drama, liked the action, loved the tension šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

The writing wasn’t bad at all!

Overall it’s a good book, didn’t loved it but it still has a lot of potential for me šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø it still can turn to be fan-fucking-tastic, believe me because if not, I would’ve rated it lower 😌

You bet I would always love a slow burn romance ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

I should’ve stopped reading when I read that he was a married man, I really should’ve dnfed right there but I sincerely hoped this was some of those stories where everything just make sense at the end? Well..

This just kept getting progressively worse to be fucking honest..

I can’t describe how disgusting this was for me 🄓

Let’s just agree on never EVER taking about this book again šŸ‘šŸ»

Harlow & Conor… dammit!

How can I put into words how much I loved them?? I was obsessed with their chemistry from their very first encounter—it was sooo effortless between them šŸ˜šŸ’– The banter? Ugh!! Chef’s kiss! And he definitely, 100% falls first 🤭

The story is great. I’m a hockey romance girlie, so it was only natural for me to love the plot. And honestly? I understood Conor’s mindset during the third act breakup (yes, there is one—and no, for the first time EVER, I didn’t hate it). He was so in love with Harlow, and his love language was acts of service from the very beginning, so how can you not fall for the guy? šŸ˜ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ Conor Hart… the man that you are šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

And my dear Harlow… oh, I loved her. I just wish we’d gotten to see more of her professional side—I really liked the whole marine biologist angle. She’s such a strong character: funny, easygoing, and incredibly understanding šŸ˜…šŸ«¶šŸ»

I also enjoyed the dynamic between Harlow and the Garrisons, and I’m so glad that in the end, it wasn’t that much of a problem for Harlow and Conor 🄹

Long story short: I enjoyed this book so, so, SO much. I wouldn’t rate it this high if I didn’t—you know I don’t lie about how I feel about books šŸ˜…šŸ¤

I hope you give this one a shot if it feels like your vibe! šŸ’–
