Pretty good book - a nice mix of interesting scientific detail and useful behaviors to enact in one's own life. Reading this often made me think of things from Atomic Habits by James Clear, so I'd recommend reading both books, as there are some interesting connections to make!
This is a great book. It is a scientific survey of a fascinating area (treating willpower from a biological perspective). But it also is full of applicable information. It has none of the elements that make me dislike self-help books. Since pretty much everyone could benefit from greater willpower, pretty much everyone could benefit from this book.

I definitely need to go through this book another time. I read straight through (err, listened straight through) versus stopping at each chapter and working on will power skills as the author suggests. I think this book could be a valuable tool for people seeking changeāI just hope they have the willpower to open it and begin.

This book took me forever to read, not because it was difficult, but because I found myself wanting to absorb every idea and put them to practice in my life. If I manage to put a keep of couple of habits going from this book I'll call it a success. An excellent read.
