Moly Harper has a new fan! I have to read her other books. Her sense of humor is spot on. I can't count how many times I laughed out loud reading this as well as the first book of the series.

Another adorable one. Although Maggie seriously pissed me off in the previous book I loved this one.

cute, light and funny, I liked this one more than the first one.

Although I didn't like Nick as much as Cooper, I did like Maggie more than Mo. (although I do like Mo in this one more than the first one).

I liked getting a little more insight into the pack characters and a small view of the packs around them (as Maggie drops all kinds of facts and information as she goes along). Being a female alpha does have its benefits but definitely had a lot of drawbacks and I found that to be really realistic as well as a good place to add humor as Maggie struggles.

More feel good were romance. I did enjoy it, a little more raunchy than the previous offering though none the worse for that. The surprises were less than the first time around though and thus not sure I will be rushing to buy the third in the series but overall a pleasant likeable book

Maggie Graham is now the Alpha of the pack and still as feisty as ever. When an expert in folklore with not one but two PhDs comes snooping around to see if there is any fact in the old stories, Maggie wants him gone. But the gorgeous Dr. Nick Thatcher proves difficult to get rid of. He suspects that since the abnormal wolf behaviour started not long after Mo – Maggie’s sister-in-law and the protagonist of the first book in the series, How to Seduce a Naked Werewolf – arrived in town that Mo is the werewolf he has travelled to the arctic north to find.

In between trying to protect her pack from the outsider Nick as well as trying to get to the bottom of who is behind the series of unfortunate events that seem to be ramping up in their severity, Maggie needs to show her community that she’s the Alpha that they voted for and that she can protect and lead them into the future.

I enjoy Maggie as a narrator. She’s every bit as prickly as she was in the first book but she acknowledges her bitchiness. Star Trek enthusiast Nick is exactly the person Maggie needs in her life to embrace her own humanity. Together they manage to compliment the other perfectly – Maggie with the take charge attitude eager to face every challenge and Nick the scholarly millionaire who can take the back seat when necessary. They’re gorgeous together, cute with witty banter between the two of them that I loved to read.

There’s a lot going on in this story – the romance between the two leads, and two side stories that were added a bit of mystery to the plot – but everything melds together into one exciting, clever and light read. I loved the inclusion of Mo and Cooper to add a bit of continuity to the series and the other Grahams are just as eccentric and crazy as Maggie and her brother are. I would definitely read another book in this series if Molly Harper continues telling the stories of the Grantham Werewolves.

The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf
3 Stars

As the only female alpha of a werewolf pack, Maggie Graham has her hands full keeping her family's secrets safe, warding off unwanted proposals from overzealous suitors and dealing with a spate of malicious attacks. Maggie's problems are compounded by the arrival of Dr. Nick Thatcher, a sexy and stubborn anthropologist, eager to investigate rumors of lycanthropy and just as determined to get under Maggie's fur. Has Maggie finally met her match in the most unlikely of places?

While the plot has potential and the romance has its moments, the characters are too one-dimensional and the storyline lacks cohesiveness.

Maggie is the quintessential prickly heroine who tends to leap before she looks. This is not usually a problem for me, however, here it results in several TSTL moments that make it difficult to identify with her.

Nick is sweet and endearing, but far too beta for my tastes. Consequently, there is a lack of balance and equality in his relationship with Maggie.

The suspense plot is the weakest aspect of the story. The stalker theme starts out well and develops at a solid pace. Unfortunately, it takes a turn for the worse when one logical suspect is exonerated and replaced with another who is so painfully obvious that it no longer makes any sense and results in a contrived and anti-climactic resolution. Harper should have stuck with her original villain.

All in all, this installment lacks the characterization, plotting and humor, which made the first book so wonderful.

This is the second book in the Naked Werewolf series and this time it's Maggie's turn. Maggie, as you'll no doubt recall, is the younger, brattier sister of Cooper, the reluctant Alpha werewolf and Joe Manganiello lookie like we met in book one.

And like a younger sister might, the book kinda sits in the shadow of its older, better looking brother in almost every way. A lot of the ingredients I loved so much from book one are in evidence, just a little dulled; the shine taken off them a wee bit. The mystery, the romance, the funnies were all good, just not as good as book one.

Still, I have no regrets about reading it. It was nice to see Maggie's development from the first time we met her. I love how she is with Mo now, I wish those two had more scenes together. And of course it was nice to be back in Grundy and see all those familiar faces.

As far as I know there are no whispers of a third book to the series, but if there was I would read it, definitely. I'm going to look at Molly Harper's other works, her vampire series, to see how that is.

3 Stars! ★★★

I must admit I was disappointed this book was about Maggie Graham. She seemed like such a spoiled brat in the [b:How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf|8182682|How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1)|Molly Harper|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1308973570s/8182682.jpg|13029341]. Not a likable person at all. But I reluctantly admit that she was pretty good as a narrator. Her witty comments made me chuckle a lot of times and even sometimes laugh out loud.

Maggie is an alpha of werewolf pack. When Nick Thatcher comes to Maggie's little town to explore werewolf rumors, as a pack leader she must protect their secret. Maggie is furious and agitated (even more than usual) by Nick. To use her description of him: 'the idea that he's trying to exploit innocent furred people instead of modeling for underwear ads - the way God obviously intended - is reason enough to kill him.' It's fun to watch them settle their differences. :)

Were-wolfs in this series by Molly Harper are not the typical creatures from movies. There are some subtle differences. The biggest, as Magies describes it: 'And don't believe all that crap Hollywood tries to peddle about being bitten and cursed by the full moon. You had to be born into our little club. No matter how many times we bit someone, that person would not go furry. They'd probably bleed a lot, though, and maybe get an infection.'

Maggies humor and weird comical situations in first half of the book made me think this will be a 5-star read. But the second part of the book felt much more ordinary to me and was only 3-star worthy. So in average - this book got 4 stars.

Actual Rating 3.75

What I Loved: If ever there was a book boyfriend for me, it is Nick! He is smart, geeky (talking Star Trek and may have invented a game similar to WOW-geeky), research nerd, and all around hottie (forgiving that blonde thing, I just ignored it)! I fell in love from the moment he hit the page and never looked back. Loved that he knew that he wanted Maggie from the beginning and never was ashamed of that. Oh sure, he was adorably awkward at times and sometimes blunt but they just added to his charm!

What I Liked: Maggie, which by the way was a big leap. I did not like Scrappy Doo much at all in the first book. This one she grew on me but it took awhile. Once she did though, I was really rooting for her and Nick. The side story, which I won't giveaway, was done really well too. In a pack/tribe mentality type of way, I thought it rang true and the resolution was fantastic!

Complaints: None

Why I gave a 3.75: I liked the first book a smidge more than this one so I had to rate them different. This one is going into the snort club too though and was a highly enjoyable read!

Who I would recommend it too: PNR readers who like the lighter fair and aren't afraid to laugh!
