I didn't like it. At first, I find the FMC annoying. She has that generic main character vibe of "oh, I'm better than everyone and I'll say that over and over again." Eventually, she grew on me and I started liking her. Then, I reached the last chapters and I hated the ending and her even more.

Rant and some spoilers incoming.
The ending could've been nice if it weren't for the ridiculous part of her sister dying and her not forgiving her mother.

The death scene for Kai was poorly done, and there were some minor plot holes on the supposed saving part. Razzcor jumped after her the first time, but they saw her hanging by the ledge instead. Kai was allowed to live from being thrown just so she could give some heartbreaking (not really) speech then proceeded to die again. Like what I said, ridiculous!

As for the part of her mother, the FMC not forgiving her just didn't make sense. It was told from the first part of the book that she was a loving mother. She took care of them, or tried to. But there's only so much a person can take until they break. Her mother was as much as a victim as them. She forgave the monster who attacked them and hurt her mates, but not her mother who was on the same boat as her? Then she tried to justify her action by admitting that it was selfish not to forgive her, but she's mourning and her mother wasn't capable, despite the first part of the story telling otherwise. She mourned for the death of Kai, who was clearly going through the same thing as their mother, but she couldn't even forgive the said mother. I hated her character even more. It was like that part was written to bring some edge on the FMCs character but that was a cheap move that only made her worse.

If you read the spoiler part above, that's the reason why I just scanned the last chapter and epilogue of the book just to be done with it. Also, there inner monologues on the last chapters were extremely long winded and repetitive. Several lines as well that were pretty scatterd throughout the book sound really cliche and cringey. The world-building was just fine. It's nothing special but it's clear and easy to follow.

Anyway, I did enjoy reading the middle part of the book. If only the ending wasn't like that, I would've love the whole story. So, if you're into:
  • Monster romance
  • Unique appendages *wink,wink*
  • Interesting and hot spicy scenes
  • Medium-burn romance
  • Magic

Then perhaps you'll like this! I'm not exactly recommending this book given my thoughts about its ending, but I'm also aware that it may also be just a matter of preference. Just manage your expectations if you pick this up.

This was a phenomenal ending for an equally phenomenal trilogy. Although, there were times that I felt frustrated while reading the story, and not in a good way. It all wrapped up nicely, anyway, and everyone got
or will eventually get
their happy ending. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this trilogy and it's highly recommended!

This trilogy just gets more and more interesting! We've finally uncovered some mysteries, then found more questions. The introduction of several side characters were also nice, although it maybe could've been better if they were given some sort of background. Some side characters were simply inserted, then the whole crew were just like, "Yep, okay. We're friends now."
I mean, Percy and Gavriel? Together?? I know Percy can perceive others' emotions and thingamajigs but the whole persona Gav was showing just kinda don't match with how easily he accepted his help.
Also, I honestly thought this would be the time for Gavriel's groveling. I guess we'll see that on the next book, plus his showdown with Seraphiel. Oooh, I wonder if there'll be a big fight.

Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this book and I can see that this trilogy is going to be epic. I hope book 3 delivers. Happy reading!

I cried, then laughed, then cried some more.

This book was so amazing! The FMC is really funny, although I don't really get some of the jokes. Must have been because of demographic difference. Her whole story was so heart-breaking, too, and I can't help but tear up when reading several scenes. The secrets and plot-twsits were also exceptional. The cliffhanger at the end, straight-up criminal. Thank goodness the trilogy is already completed and I can read the next book right away.

Anyway, the pacing was nice. The plot advances smoothly while putting enough emphasis to characted dynamics and such. This book is definitely recommended if you're into:
  • Angels
  • Mixed fantasy (although this book is set majority on another realm)
  • Fated mates
  • Bully-to-lovers trope
  • Forbidden romance trope
  • Belittled FMC but with a strong spirit
  • Hilarious FMC
  • Ride or die best friend
  • Heartbreaking story with a humorous tone

Just a heads-up that this book has low-heat level. There are possibly 4 men in the harem. Lastly, check the TWs. There's only a few but there were hinted flashbacks of child SA.

Don't miss out on this book, honestly. Read it now!!

I've heard a lot about this book and I have to say, all of them are true. It's just a matter of preference whether you'll like or hate this book.

First of all, the heat level is outstanding and there were some very interesting scenes in here. You need to be in the mood to read spicy books, though, since it takes up a good portion of the story. Unless you're specifically looking for high heat books, steer away from this.

Second, the characters were all well-developed. Their dynamics were also smooth and flows well. Considering how thick this book is and how the story is mainly character-driven, that's a given.

Now, this brings us to the things that you might not like. The plot is almost non existent. There is a plot, but it's stretched too thin, and you might get bored waiting for something to happen. The book focuses more on character interactions, so the plot was often pushed aside.

That may not be a bad thing, but there were also a lot of filler inner monologues. Some of their lines were also cheesy and downright cringey. A bad combination. I had to actually scan the last few pages just to be done with the book because the story was so drawn out.

Anyway, it's not a bad read. Overall, I liked it! So, if you're into:
  • Mafia/Mobsters
  • Fight with rival family
  • Obsessive/possessive alphaholes with touch her and die attitude
  • Psychos
  • Badass FMC
  • Tattooed and pierced characters
  • High heat
  • Enemies to lovers
  • Gore and dark
Then you'll like this! Just manage your expectations and make sure you're in the right mood when your read this book.

The last book was a bit slow-paced, and I'm not exactly sure whether or not adding a fourth mate was a good thing, though I'm not complaining. The multiple pov was a good thing, too, although each male pov were too brief. What's really interesting was the constant fourth-wall breaks. I'm still not sure if I like it, but I do find it unique.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this trilogy!

The plot was all over the place and I had no idea what's happening at first, but the last chapters set the story straight again and now I can't wait to see what happens next!

This book is pretty fast-paced, and the plot is interesting. I find the characters loveable, although given how short this book is, there's not much time to have them be fully fleshed out. I'm hoping that'll be improved on the next book. It's a fast-burn romance with medium-heat level. There were also very few errors, but nothing too distracting. Overall, I liked it and I'm excited to read book 2!

If you're into:
  • Omegas, alphas, betas, deltas, sigmas, megazords (and the whole shebang).
  • Knots, heat, nest
  • A healer omega wolf shifter FMC
  • A sassy, protective twin sister
  • Dirty talk and spice

Then this is highly recommended for you!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
It was really hard for me to decide whether I should drop this book or not, since I was so excited to read it. Unfortunately, the long-winded inner monologues were a real challenge. At first, I found them really helpful for explaining the characters' backgrounds but after a while, they started to get annoying. It's like simply telling the story, instead of showing it. There were like, 3 or more consecutive pages of just inner monologues, and some chapters have half of it. Scanning through them is just... not right. Eventually, I had to DNF the book. It really sucked because I was really looking forward to reading this.

Reading this book is like a sooting balm on my tired heart. It's amazing! Although this is slow-paced, the characters' relationship, interactions, and dynamics kept me hooked and interested. There is a plot, however minimal it is, but the story is more character-driven. Considering that this is about finding self-love and recovering from abuse, I think it's fitting. The characters are also fully fleshed out and had strong developments throughout the book.

If you're into:
  • Damsel in distress (but not in an annoying way, I swear)
  • Caring and attentive MMCs
  • Recovery story from abuse
  • Laidback pacing
  • Emotional scenes that will break then stitch your heart back again

Then this is definitely for you! I won't say that this is fast-burn, since the spicy scenes won't start until book 3, but the MMCs were already into the FMC right from the start. Check the TWs, this contains flash-backs and on-page violence and SA. There were some confusing sentences, grammatical and typographical errors on book 3 as well.

Anyway, overall, this is highly recommended!
