This was my first Graphic Novel and a great choice to introduce me to this style. I love mythology especially Greek so this really peeked my interest. I like the modern twist to this which makes it fun and relatable to read. I got a little confused because it does flit between POV and things might have happened already but it is from the other person's POV. I felt for Persephone at the end and can't wait to read the next one to see what happens.

I like Norse Mythology and I was intrigued by this book. I do tend to lean more towards Greek but made a nice change. Loki and Odin were mainly involved in this but other Norse gods did flit into it. I enjoyed Boda as a main character. However I wasn't gripped all the way through the book. I found it dipped up and down quite alot. Also there were no chapters it was segmented and there were three parts which I found a little confusing. Good read overall.

I enjoyed this book. I love Marvel in general so I really wanted to read this. I will say though try not to compare it to the films as there are differences. It was fast paced and gripping. It does flit between two time periods and can get a little confusing at times. It is all from Bucky's POV and it is before and after he became the Winter Solider. It shines a light on the struggles he must of went through as the Winter Solider and why he was the way he was in the end. It also shows a softer side to him and a love story that just was not meant to be. Quite sad in places that you really felt for Bucky. Good overall read.

The edition of this book is beautiful and the interactive parts are fun whilst reading. I did really struggle with this book because of the language, if you like classics and Shakespeare then you would enjoy this book. Beauty and the Beast is one of my all time favourite films and reading this I found that there are not many similarities between the fairy tale and the films. I can understand why it has been changed but then others I don't know why. I found it a little confusing in places. I just ploughed through it as quickly as possible because I wanted to see how film related to the fairy tale but was left disappointed. Great book to read with children perhaps if they haven't seen the films.

At first I was a litttle on edge with this book as there is a lot of swearing and words used that I do not like but it wasn't used that often throughout the book. LGBTQIA representation throughout the book. It is from multiple POVs at times it did sort of slit between them in the chapter but it was still understandable. Short chapters and fast paced. Full of magic but all different types and demons are involved. Twists that you did not see coming and the ending. The ending made me realise why I don't read a series unless I have all the books because I wish I could read the next one. Ends on a huge cliffhanger. Really enjoyable and gripping book. A little spice but not much. Will be a reread when the next two come out.

I enjoyed the book and found it interesting to read about the characters mainly Sally from 'The Nightmare before Christmas' world as I do enjoy that film. However there were some parts in the book that made me think what such as feel heart beating and bones cracking, Sally is a rag doll so she wouldn't have these things. It was nice to find out that Sally was not the only rag doll and she did have parents. But the whole idea with the different holidays/doors is that they go to the human world. Sally stumbles onto Dream Town and lets the Sandman out when she finally goes to Dream Town her parents say then need to destroy the grove of trees, all the doors including to the human world so the Sandman can't get back. But they are there to help the humans go to sleep so if they destroy the door how can they help the humans go to sleep? They destroy the grove but they bring it back by replanting a sapling from the tree so if it is that easy to bring the doors back what was the point of cutting them down in the first place why couldn't they just block them like it was on the otherside in Halloween Town. Then at the end Sandman just needed a nap and he was fine after! I enjoyed the characters of the book and the pace of the story.

What can I say about this book. Total Cluedo vibes throughout this book. At first I was a little hesitant because the amount of hype around this book. I really did not like how Daisy was being treated and was a little confusing with the whole arrangement. When the killings started at midnight the book really kicked into another gear. It was captivating and gripping. Was transfixed and I just wanted to know what was happening. It challenged you because you were trying to work the mystery out of who was doing the killings. The ending was completely not what I was expecting with Trixie. Then to find out that Daisy had been dead along it all slotted into place. Why no one talked to her or responded to what she was saying. Then to actually find out how she died was heartbreaking, the book already made you feel for Daisy but then with how she was murdered and everyone kept it quiet was even more heart wrenching. Then another twist with Nana left me dumbfounded. I did not see it coming at all. Truly amazing and a must read for anyone who loves Crime/Mystery/Thriller.

Overall I did enjoy this book. I enjoyed the world building and story telling. Also that it was the Wonderland but not revolved Alice for a change. It was nice to read the origin of things. Forbidden love, danger and magic. I really felt for Jest and Cath that no matter what they did they just could not be together. It was a real insight into why the Queen of Hearts is the way she is and it is heartbreaking. Towards the end however I felt it dragged and you knew what was going to happen.

I found this book very up and down. It was slow paced mainly but then at times fast paced to the point it was a little confusing what was going on. I liked the magical and the different cultures within the book. Enemies to Lovers with a very small hint of spice. Evike and Gaspar were interesting characters but detested Nandor and wasn't really explained about it.
