Wild Blades: A Hockey Romance by VH Nicholson is book two in the Elite Eagles series and I love it!! If you like books about sports romance, hockey, reverse age gap, and opposites attract, then you will love this book.

Wade was raised by his single mother who didn’t care for him at all and he didn’t know who his father was. He was raised and loved by Gretchen, his grandfathers housekeeper. He considered her his mom and she in return loved him like he was hers. A year after losing Gretchen he’s spiraling out of  control drinking and fighting. The owners of his hockey team have had enough and decided to create a team to help improve his image with a nutritionist, therapist, an assistant, and a new publicist, Kali.

Kali is a former model turned publicist, is trying to build her new agency. She agrees to be Wades publicist, in exchange for a contract with the Eagles. Still reeling from a bad break up, she thinks this will be a good distraction and it gives her a chance to reform Wade’s image.

I loved following Wade and Kali’s  journey. Her fear of falling for a younger man and being cheated on again. His fear of not being loved or good enough. Together they overcame their fears with patience. I not only loved the main character I really enjoyed the side characters as well. I cannot wait for the next book. I could read this book again because I loved it so much!! I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Last Boy by Hannah Gray is book 7 in the Puck Boys of Brooks University series and I’m so sad it’s over!! If you love books about childhood friends, college, enemies to lovers, childhood friends, trauma, hockey romance then you will love this book.

This last book is about Poppy and Walker who were childhood friends turned lovers. Walker has to leave town and is forced to leave behind a broken Poppy. Years later, Walker is back in town attending Brooks University and playing for their hockey team. Poppy attends the same university and is still dealing with the death of her brother Jake. I felt so much for Poppy and Walker and loved watching how they brought out the best in each other.

I loved watching Poppy bond with Cade over their shared experiences. This book was an emotional rollercoaster and I’m so sad it’s over. I liked that characters from the other books were in this book and we got to meet some new ones. I cannot wait for the next series. Hannah did such a great job with these characters and having them deal with real life challenges. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest thoughts and opinions.

The Last Refuge by Christina Bacilieri is so so good!! If you like the Hunter Games, YA, dystopian fantasy then you will love this book!!  This  books take you on a ride into a creatively exciting world full of magic and power.

The Last Refuge was a unputdownable, page turning, fast paced read that kept me hooked from beginning to end…I did not want to put it down. Bacilieri did such an amazing job with the world-building and the descriptions she gave were so realistic. I felt like I was right there with Kiera as she was chasing and fighting for her freedom, while going through her journey of self discovery. I cannot rave about this book enough. I HIGHLY recommend it. I wish it didn’t haven’t to end. Thank you to LBT for giving me this ARC for my honest thoughts and opinions.

The Woman at My Wedding by L.G. Davis is sooo good!! I didn’t want to put this book down.

This book starts 30 days before Brynne’s wedding to Nathan. Nathan is a lawyer who is away at trial in a high profile case, so that is leaves Brynne in their new house planning their wedding.  She gets an unexpected visit from Nathan’s mother who he has no relationship with, that leaves her feeling uncomfortable.  As she is planning the wedding weird things start happening and she feels like she is being followed.

There were so many twists and turns with an ending I didn’t expect. You never really knew who you could trust through your the book I went back and forth on who I thought was out to get Brynne. I kinda feel bad for Brynne. I can’t wait to read book two bc I have to know what happened with the way it ended. Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for giving me an ARC for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Starstruck by Amy Dawes is book one in the Starlight Studio Series and it’s so good. If you like books about celebrity romance, secret/hidden identity, on-set romance, with a strong FMC who is still trying to figure out her life then you will love this book.

Kat, a struggling actress who has to start  her life over after her boyfriend Dane breaks up with her and she gets a call from her agent dropping her. Her friend Rose helps her get a job as a personal assistant to an actor with a huge ego. It’s there that she meets him.

James “Alex” is an actor who works for his father’s studio. He is currently producing a film that has to do well in order to get a seat on the board. His father wants him to get into a publicity romance with Ava but when he meets Kat that seals his decision not to sign that contract.

I read this book in one sitting because it was so good. Kat is a strong FMC who is struggling and doesn’t feel good enough. James comes from a wealthy dysfunctional  family where his father cares more about his money and production company than his own kids. These characters are so relatable. I loved the side characters just as much as I did Kat and James. You should read this book and I cannot wait for book 2. I was given an ARC in exchange for my very late thoughts and opinions.

My Royal Showmance by Lexi Blake is book two in the Park Avenue Promise and I absolutely love this book!! This book was so much fun and I want to be Anika when I grow up. If you like books that are like the bachelor, royalty romance, found family, fast paces, and about tv production then you will love this book!!

Anika Fox agrees as a favor, to work as a PA on a reality dating show where the bachelor Reginald Lucannon St. Marten is the ruler of Ralavia, is seeking a queen. Realizing they are down a contestant they ask Anika to step in as a contestant, with the promise of being eliminated that night. They both realize that they have met before on a previous show she worked on. Anika and the king have instance chemistry that the viewers and other contestants notice immediately. The king soon lets her know that he will not let her go that easily and that he will convince her to fall in love with him.

This book had me from page one and I didn’t want to put it down. I love Anika and Reginald’s relationship. Anika is a force to be reckoned with. I not only loved the MC’s but I love the side characters as well. I can’t rave about this book enough and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read book one!! Star Lost by Amy Marie Ayres is book one in the Luccee Winterscott series. It is a dystopian war story with what I feel is a twist. In between the characters chapters the book gives the readers explanation and then asks the reader their thoughts.  This book was a different kind of read but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you love books about dystopian, apocalyptic, corruption, mind control, and political influence then you will love this book.

Luccee lives in 2076, in a society where books have been banned and are illegal to own. This society uses a practice called Erasure which erases people’s memories and they do this to keep their people under control. She has found her mother’s diary that she has to keep concealed it from everyone including her own brother Trever. Luccee is struggling with her life and not having freedom while learning about her mother and what may have happened to her in her past.

This was an adventure you went through with the characters who were fighting for their past, present, and their future. Luccee starts to come in on her own realizing their way of loving isn’t right.  I’m sure this is leading us into book 2 which I can’t wait to read. I can’t wait to see what Luccee does and the fight she has before her. Thank you to Love Book tours for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

A Brilliant Spring by Kate Smoak is the final book in the Seasons series. I’m so sad this series is over! This book was told in multiple POV’s by Elissa, Brandt, and Riley.

This book picks up on the cliffhanger Black Winter left off.  Elissa and Brandt’s relationship is struggling. Elissa is dealing with some unexpected changes in her life. Brandt is giving her space but still supporting her. Riley and Rhys’ are still dealing with their pregnancy. Riley has really come into her own, she is being so strong with how Rhys is behaving. We get to see more of Riley’s relationship with her parents and how supportive they of her.

Elissa really comes into her own by the end of the book. I love that we get to watch her relationship grow with her mother. I love Riley and you get to see her become a stronger version of herself. I’m so sad this series is over because I enjoyed it. I was given this book as an ARC this is my very late honest opinion.

You, Me, Her by Sue Watson and narrated by Tamsin Kennard was so good but that ending pissed me off!! If you like books about secret, lies, betrayal, murder, and a fear of water then you will love this book.

Rachel is married to Tom and they have a little boy named Sam.  Rachel inherited some money after her father’s death. Her father did not like Tom at all so he left everything under her name so Tom couldn’t touch it. Tom decides to buy a house in Cornwall and begins renovations on it. Rachel has to approve all of Tom’s purchases and is irritated because he is pouring all of their money into this house, it renovations, then decides to get rid of the garden and install a pool.  Due to a traumatic event in the past due she has a phobia of pools. Every time she brings that up or the fact that he is using all of the money he gaslights her.  Tom has perfected the term gas lighting!! Rachel and Sam join Tom at their new house soon after strange things starts to happen and Rachel soon learns that her marriage may not he as perfect as she thought it was.

This audiobook was so good I couldn’t stop listening, I was hooked and finished it in one night. I wasn’t sure who I could trust and who I couldn’t. I figured out pretty early on who the other woman was but for most of the book wasn’t sure I could trust Chloe. Tom was well I have nothing nice to say about him. I loved watching Rachel go from being timid to I’ll figure this out myself since no one wants to believe me!! I enjoyed this book up until the end and then I HATED the ending. Over all a great read I recommend it. I think Tamsin Kennard did an awesome job as a narrator. Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for letting me listen to this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and options.

Before I Loved You by Ashely Elizabeth is a captivating love story and read. Before I Loved You is book one in the Before series and if this book can captivate me from page 1, I can only imaging how the other 2 books will have me. If you like books about accidental pregnancies, college basketball, college romance, artists, opposites attract, found family, spicy, with a HEA ending then you will love this book.

Reeling from a traumatic night, Sarah wanting to forget decides to go to a bar where she meets Paul. They hit it off instantly,  have a one night stand, and part ways that night without knowing the other’s name.  Fast forward a few weeks later Sarah learns she is pregnant and she decides she needs to figure out the man’s name. When they find each other their attraction is just as strong as it was that night,  they date, fall for each other, and his family adores her too. She is afraid to tell him she’s pregnant and the farther they go the harder it is for her. The traumatic event that happened to her one night keeps coming back threatening to ruin her…Will he ruin what shes worked so hard for? Sorry can’t tell you bc that will ruin the book and I want you to read this one.

Ashley does such a great job of intertwining the characters' past/present, unconditional love, heart breaking loss, and redemption.
This story is beautifully written and will capture your heart from the beginning. I enjoyed this I didn’t want to put it down. I was given this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
