The brand of crazy that comes out of this author's mind worries me. Like actually concerns me for things like her conversations at dinner, her restaurant etiquette, and the safety of any offspring she might have. Katherine Stevens took a childhood icon and gave e him nerves and awesome t-shirts. I'm not even sure how to react except that now, the real Mr. T makes me think of hers.

Accidental Man Whore is absolutely ridiculous but somehow still works. I wouldn't bend over for...okay maybe I would. Generally speaking, I piercer a few more IQ points but Ben has an innocence that seems to carry him along. His thoughts and comments will have you shaking your head but reading faster to see how it works.

This book is ridiculous and honestly...a lot of fun. Worth the head shaking stupidity that just oozes from Ben's mouth. Believe me, even if I quoted it, you wouldn't believe it. Read it.

Oh and where can I get Mr. T's shirts?

I'm not sure if it was the timing of when I read this book or what, but I had a tough time getting into Accidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens. This is the first book i've read from her and I will admit I struggled with it. It had a lot of promise, but in the end it just didn't work for me.

When his dad needs help with his medical bills, Ben Wright finds himself needing to make some extra cash quick. But when one thing leads to another, he finds himself becoming an escort by accident. So when Miryam's fiance leaves her for his coworker and she isn't ready to break the news to her family, she finds herself hiring Ben as her stand-in.

For me, part of the problem here was that I couldn't relate to the characters, and I didn't feel invested in their story. I just didn't feel connected to either Ben or Miryam and honestly I felt pretty indifferent to them.

Another problem I had here was that while I did find humor in a few moments, much of tis book felt over the top to me. I have a tough time with that style of humor and if it is too over the top, often times it feels like it's trying too hard. I think maybe this is just a personal thing as I have seen a lot of others loving the humor here. For me though this one just missed the mark.

I do think that a lot of readers will enjoy this book, especially if the other reviews I have seen are anything to go by. But for me, this one just didn't deliver what I was hoping for or expecting and sadly wasn't for me. I think it is worth giving the shot if it sounds like one you might like though, as it seems like a lot of readers are loving it and this very well could just be a personal thing.

Accidental Man Whore was a fun read. Ben was so adorably clueless. He is not good at picking up the clues and knowing what is going on. Oh, he was fun.

Ben works watering plants in an office building. He started this company not that long ago and makes enough to live, but is not making a ton of money. Some of his clients are a bit scary in how strong their personalities are, but he is a good guy and gets his work done.

Miryam is getting married. To the perfect guy. They both are attorneys, they both know what they want, it is going to be great. Maybe not a grand, passionate relationship, but perfect for what she wants.

When Ben's dad is diagnosed with cancer he will do almost anything to get the money to pay for his treatment. So he tries to get some more plant watering business, but his boss at the office building has another idea. Just go to some parties and keep the ladies happy. Easy peasy. And it pays a lot more than Ben could hope to make in an evening doing anything else. So of course he agrees. Oh, he was so adorable. He doesn't realize what is going on until he is in it. He was so much fun.

Miryam thought her fiance was perfect, only to find out that he doesn't actually want to marry her. Right before the wedding. So now she will have to tell her grandmother, the person closest to her whose health is not the best, that she is not getting married. Her grandmother will be devastated so what will she do? Hire someone to play her fiance of course. Only Ben is that someone and they have had a run in before. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Now I will say I really didn't like Miryam for most of the story. She was soooo judgemental and awful! I was yelling at her a lot in my head while reading her parts. She thinks she knows Ben when she doesn't know anything. And she treats him not so good because of what she thinks she knows of him and ah! I didn't like her. But I still enjoyed reading her. Which is odd.

Through all of this, through being a fake fiance and spending time together, these two grew closer. Oh I enjoyed this story. It was fun. Ben and Miryam and everything they go through. I so enjoyed reading thier story.

Have you ever agreed to a job, not really knowing what you will be doing, then realize you're a hooker? No? Well, our lovely Ben here, isn't the brightest bulb that is exactly what happened to him. Poor Miryam needs a stand-in groom, so you can guess who her best friend calls in to help. The two don't get off to the best of starts, but gradually they are able to tolerate one another. Both misjudge the other and jump to conclusions before knowing all the facts. Ben's character, although he is a little aloof at times, is a pretty sweet guy. Miryam is a smart women, a lawyer in fact, but was burned by love and doesn't really see what's right in front of her. While Ben doesn't push her for more, she continues to push him away. There are a lot of laughs along the way. Ben's relationship with his pet is hilarious. :D There are a couple of feisty old geezers who bring some comedy relief as well. PLenty of fun and crazy characters to help entertain you. Despite what you may think with a title like this one, there is not a lot of sexual content. There is some, it's not a clean read, but there is a wee little bit. There is more talk than action. Ben and Miryam's characters aren't too complex or complicated, but some of the events in their lives have caused them to have various hurdles to overcome, and play a part in their story. It reads fairly quickly and smoothly. Overall it's a fun, light and enjoyable book.

Don't let the title fool you! This is a sexy, funny, laugh out loud book that will have you in stitches.
OMG, totally fell for Ben. He has a HUGE heart as well as some other things. He is funny, handsome and seriously doesn't make the right decisions all the time but you can't help but love him for doing his hardest to make things right.
Miryam is a woman who thought she had it all till it fell apart. She is smart, pretty and meeting Ben in the most unconventional way, these two takes us on a ride of a story that is one I will go back to rereading over and over again.

And there is a cute Ferret that you will fall in love with.

About a quarter of the way through this one, I wasn't sure how well I'd end up liking it. I have to say that Ben certainly isn't the sharpest tool in the gardening shed and his gullibility caused more than one eye roll for this reader, but he still manages to come across as quite the endearing character. He does, after all, fall into the escort business while trying to help his dad.
Miryam is everything Ben isn't - put together with her life planned out, or so she thought. These two have little in common, but somehow, they just work, often in spite of their differences. They're thrown together by a crazy series of circumstances and family events that keep the story moving and the chuckles rolling.
The secondary characters are at times even more amusing than our couple. I absolutely loved Ben's cantankerous dad and Miryam's Bubbie.
In the end, I found Accidental Man Whore to be witty and fun, making for an enjoyable lighthearted read.

I am a Katherine Stevens virgin. I had never heard of her until I came across Accidental Man Whore.

I’m in love.

I adored this book! Ben is sweet, sexy, determined to help his father pay for his hospital bills. When an opportunity presents itself, Ben jumps at the chance...without really asking too many questions.

Miryam was on cloud nine..a fiance, a great job, life was good. Until that fiance dumped her and she needed someone to step into the roll of her now “ex” at family functions. In comes Ben, as the stand in fiance and things go from crazy to hilarious!!

The relationship between Miryam and Ben is hysterical yet unbelievable hot. They don’t really care for each other from the start yet are immediately drawn to one another. Their banter, sexual chemistry and bond made for an excellent story along with all of the secondary characters who had me laughing my ass off.

Accidental Man Whore is funny with a side of serious drama. I loved every single character is the book and found the story very entertaining! This is definitely a one-click!!

I'm surprised, I actually really enjoyed this lol. It was a lot of fun and really enjoyable. I wish it hadn't been so rushed at the end and I feel like 50 more pages would have helped develop the characters' relationship a bit more. I went into this with no expectations because of that title lol, but yeah, I actually really liked it.

Fun!

This book was super fun to read! Each character had just the right amount of wit and charm. Nice back stories to set the book up. Sexy scenes that were sometimes humorous.
