I have not seen agoraphobia in a form of storytelling/media since Shameless. This story did a beautiful job of navigating the complexity of agoraphobia and how that plays a role in an intimate relationship. Halo struggled and Ledge was an incredible and patient partner. He only stood his ground when Halo unfairly took her frustrations out on him and made it clear he was there to support her but there were boundaries she needed to work with. I was nervous to see how that would play out but I think it worked for Halo’s mental health and actually pushed her to pursue help from those around her and professionals. I do think the ending was a bit rushed but I did enjoy this book overall and look forward to reading about more of the side characters.

This was the perfect read between some heavier and longer reads. I love Roe’s writing and don’t even get me started on the spice. Absolute perfection for some erotica in one of my favorite subgenres of romance: omegaverse. Roe can write amazing spice scenes and an insta love/insta lust that I actually enjoy and want to see more of. I already can’t wait to read another.

Our favorite bad ass FMC is back and I couldn’t be happier to have read this book. Daya exemplifies everything I love about strong women fighting for their homes, families, and seeking justice against people who wish to oppress others. She spearheaded efforts to save the people she loved and I cannot wait to see where this story goes in the future. I loved seeing Zuri embrace her power and take back pieces that were taken from her. And seeing the relationship dynamic between Axel and Zuri was the slowest slow burn I couldn’t wait to see foster into the most beautiful poly relationship they had with Daya. This story was everything and more. If you love romantasy and haven’t read Blood & Brujas, you need to get on that ASAP since Air & Essence will be releasing soon!

Felix deserves to be protected at all cost and I just wanted to hug him throughout this book. Felix just wanted to be loved and the journey he took in finding that love was unexpected and touched me in ways I wasn’t expecting either. There are not enough words to explain how much I love this book. Felix discovering love and what makes him happy and fulfilled in life was beautiful. I highly recommend reading this!

You cannot go wrong with a Roe Horvat omegaverse. This was honestly too short for me because of how much I loved it and wanted to just read more. I am also so sad this series is done for now. I loved reading an omegaverse with dragons and can’t wait to read more hopefully in the future.

This story was beautiful. The dynamic between Harlow and Ace was one of my favorite strangers to dislike to friends to lovers book I’ve read. That particular dynamic can be cliche and difficult to execute but I was obsessed. I cannot wait to read more by this author because I was enraptured by the connection between these two characters from the beginning of them meeting.

1950s Georgia was very different from that of 1950s New York, especially for gay black men. Michael leaves Georgia to pursue a potentially safer life in New York, which was more progressive during this time period. Michael befriends a girl on the bus and she points him in the direction of housing through her church. This causes him to cross paths with Alexander. The instant connection these two had captivated me and warmed my heart to see them navigate that connection despite the circumstances they face throughout the book. I cannot wait for the second one because this audio was amazing and I loved every minute of it.

If you read DYD and hated Avery and aren’t sure if he should get a redemption, I BEG you to give him a chance. Avery’s growth was beautifully done without making it out to seem that his actions were okay when they were very much not. This was a slow process for Avery to accept himself and get to a place where he was proud of the person he is and all that comes with that. Kaleb definitely helped Avery’s self-discovery and self-acceptance journey. CE Ricci just knows how to write a redemption and I miss these characters so much already. Definitely can’t wait for a reread.

This is my third reread of DYD and I was a little nervous to do the audio. I haven’t done an audio from CE Ricci before and didn’t want to risk being uninterested in the story if I didn’t vibe with the narrators. But oh was I wrong for waiting. I mean I guess it worked out since I did the reread before NWIE comes out. I’m obsessed with Aspen and Keene. These two are honestly one of my favorite friends to lovers ever and cannot wait for another reread in the future.

S. Legend continues to prove why this is one of the best hockey romance series of all time. The complexity of these characters will never disappoint. AND the found family dynamic is one of the best I’ve read. I was obsessed with Stacey and Dash in the previous books so getting to read their story felt unreal because of how much I was anticipating it. Sometimes that can make me nervous because I don’t want to be disappointed if a book doesn’t live up to expectations BUT S. Legend blows my expectations up every time because of how amazing these books are. There was humor like the rest of the books, but there was a more serious element that I wasn’t necessarily expecting and loved the layer that added to the relationship dynamic between Stacey and Dash throughout the seven years they have known each other in this book. I could go on and on about these two but don’t want to give too much away since I do believe these need to be read in order. But please read this book or start at book 1 if you haven’t checked this series out yet.
